The project ‘Studio’ comprises an ongoing exploration into the liminal spaces of artistic creation. This particular series comprises of pinhole photographs which includes artists working in their studios in the Beara peninsula, Co. Cork.

The objective is to explore the ambience or aura of an aspect of their unique studio environment, as well as the nature of their practice.
The use of scanned analogue negative film lends a painterly quality to the space, frequently reflecting the nature of the artist’s chosen media.

The Beara peninsula accommodates a haven of artists, crafts workers, poets, writers and musicians.

This exhibition critically engages with the artistic practices and distinctive environments of artists residing and working within this unique West Cork rural landscape, offering an immersive glimpse into their singular spaces.
